Appointments with MP
Interested to know how many have been given appts to see their MP when requested?
I ask as I sent an email last week asking for an appt - I followed up today by phone and the MP's researcher has said the MP has sent me a letter. I'm half expecting it's the standard response (that others have had) and no meeting. I asked the researcher to chase it up as I want to meet the MP at the next available surgery, which is on the 20th June.
Has anyone been getting the cold shoulder? I know a number have been meeting their MP.Comment

Had a very good meeting with my local MP on Friday, gave him a copy of the template I'd designed for myself and he seemed very concerned about the situation I'm in. Have just had a reply from his Parliamentary Office to say:
xxxxxx has asked me to thank you for coming to see him on Friday. He has written to the Chancellor on your behalf and for those other constituents who also came to see him and who have written and emailed. As I said, I am strongly sympathetic to all of your views and think this a very un-Conservative move and hope that the government will think again.
I hope this will encourage all contractors to meet with their MP, it's easy to organise and the more that follow this up the better our case will be.
Regards

That's really good - glad some MPs are sitting up and listening. Mine is ex Treasury and is following the party line (Tory) so doesn't want to meet face to face. I'm waiting for his response to my last email, but always (not sure if all do) responds formally by snail mail. His support team reply by email to say he's responding.
Pretty sure I'll get nothing from him, but making sure he is fully aware what APN and follower notices really mean to those impacted.
