Inform your closest relatives not to divulge any information to anyone.

Try not to move to EU, Faroe islands, south Africa or new Zealand as these countries have an MAU with UK so IF the debt collector does locate you they could get in correspondence with you.

Other than that many people successfully leave the UK and all debts behind. I would recommend this over bankruptcy - move away and start afresh - you can always come back in 6 to 7 years! Just don't tell anyone especially ANY government agencies.

    Hi DR,
been a long time, I thought this thread had died. So many forums, so much time wasted on this Tax fiasco made up by UKCorp!
Are you sure you can leave & debt clears in 6 years including HMRC debt - even if it was made up with time machine?
I'm thinking of settling, but just revisited this forum, and saw your post. I'm leaving the UK anyway, 2 years overdue unfortunately. I have no intention of coming back to this tyrannical tuliphole.
I read that 'crown' debt never clears and only NICs are cleared.
Also, if you have a UK pension, will they not have access to take that away, or if you move it or access it they'll find you?

Notice of Assessment for the year 5 April 2013 (and some thoughts)

I just received a Notice of Assessment letter for the year 2012/2013 (arrived my home 30th of March of 2017) but I only read it 15 days later and I'm still liasing with the accounting and some tax advisers. I live abroad so I'm not sure if HMRC can get to your assets if you live in another European country.

In my case I started working in UK at the beginning of November of the Tax year and they think (somehow) that I've earned 85K however In my bank only 29K was received. I didn't have any other source of income because I was unemployed or during a long holiday period helping my family.

It seems that they simply don't care.

In my case everything was deposited on the same UK bank account. I'm thinking about the settlement because I could support a fair settle but after reading this thread I believe I can get extorted.

Has anyone got a fair settlement for this year (2012/13)?
    Thanks

    Twenyplus members

    Hi there,

Has anyone else that used Twentyplus any news? I would be interested in PMs to compare notes.

Does anyone have any contact details for Bedouin/Redstone? Are they help people respond to HMRC? Sadly, I continued with Bedouin/Redstone until November 2013 so no doubt HMRC will be demanding a larger sum from me for that year too - so I need the contact details ASAP. Hopefully someone can help!
Bedouin/Redstone no longer exist in any form that wishes to help respond to queries.

I'm also not sure why you think a firm that sold you an arrangement which was designed to channel payments, might have the right skill set to help you now?

You need a tax professional. Plenty available.

Hello. I recently had dealings with Bedouin / Redstone. They asked for a copy of my letter and drafted me a reply for an appeal to the HMRC. It basically said to tell the HMRC that the loan isn't income so get over it! Apart from that, to be fair to them, they have responded quite quickly (within a coupe of days) and have sent my loan statements over as requested.

Unfortunately I can't help but does any one else have any intel on what has happened to Bedouin/Redstone?

Herbie in my experience they are no help at all with these kind of enquries and I wouldn't rely on them, that is even if you can track them down, which I have so far been unable to do. It's confsing because some sites suggest that they are still active?
