I have a colleague who has missed the deadline, what can he do? (or any advice) And what will be the implications?

He can try speaking to them and see if they will consider settlement still. They may do.
Technically he is now subject to the Loan Charge.
He can help fight it through the various groups doing that.

What is best really depends on his situation.

Personally I recommend joining LCAG. And they could try speaking to an adviser.
