    How did HMRC calculate the presumed tax liability?

    They have all my figures, although it took several letters backwards and forwards until we agreed.

    How would HMRC calculate the liability if you don't have any paperwork due to it being > 10 years (or whatever) old?
    Prior to providing figures, they calculated 5 x my salary for each year.
