Allardyce, whose future as England head coach is on the brink as the Football Association considers the revelations of the Telegraph investigation, was named in 2013 in connection with HMRC’s inquiry into a £450million tax scam.

Footballer Wayne Rooney and golfer Rory McIlroy were also among those who invested in the government-backed scheme, which offered tax relief for investing in deprived areas.

There is no suggestion that any of the three did anything wrong. Tax avoidance is not illegal in the UK.

Nothing like the frothing masses to encourage them though, even if they initially gave a green light to these things (like the one in the OP's post).

Parliament are very well aware. But do NOTHING.

HMRC are only sensitive to changing their prerogatives when a critical mass of public opinion is reached. Govt mantra of "paying your fair share" has resonated with the unthinking/reactive mob who are too dull to realise it is only a matter of time before the govt comes for them too. Perhaps if enough high profile individuals of sufficient standing that were affected by this had the courage to publicly team up, then perhaps enough public support could be galvanised against the disgraceful actions of govt. This does not have to be violent either e.g. Industrial Revolution was largely peaceful.

2 million marched against the Iraq war. No-one in government listened.

Brexit was largely caused by inequality and the failure of government to listen. Sadly, this is not understood.
