I was just wondering if anyone else had this letter and what advice anyone had....

Is there a typical stance from them does anyone know, and I assume this should be a recorded conversation?

i phoned them last week, from discussion with Bedouin and their own appointed tax specialist who didnt really give me a good feeling, i capitulated and agreed a payment plan with HMRC.

sucks but at least its no longer hanging over my head.

Getting An Answer from Bedouin

Has anyone been able to get any information from Bedouin on the value of loans they provided?

I have emailed several times and they have said they will get around to it eventually, however without knowing this value it makes any idea of settlement with HMRC difficult...

Been reading this thread with interest as ive also received the same letter from HMRC asking for bank statements ect for my time with bedouin, tax year 13-14.

I can see it was a while ago since the last post but is there any update on ur situation to those who received the letter? I've spoke to my accountant and hes basically binned the draft letter from redstone and written a new one, saying some of it is a load of rubbish.

Bedouin/redstone have been in touch with the loan agreements, loan statements ect for me to send to HMRC and loans equate to just under £20000 so i'm expecting a pretty big bill from the tax man.

My main worry was actually about to loans themselves, and whats to stop redstone coming in 10 years time (repayment date as per loan statement) and demanding their money although in reality its my own. Spoke to charlotte on the phone and she basically said they will contact me in 10 years as the loans are repayable. Also said read between the lines as they cant say they are not repayable because they would then become taxable.

2013/2014, the only year I didn't use a ltd company, with Bedouin for some of it. I get the spanish inquisition into 'Contractor loans'.
I'm hoping to contact Bedouin for some more information as to what I actually signed up for and a record of their SMS texts.

Nothing of note has happened, further requests for info from HMRC, redstone provides an update and that gets sent back. Inevitably an APN will arrive, just a question of when

Ok, I had read these forums etc and decided to leave Bedouin Ltd. Today I receive in the post a notice of assessment and demand for payment for the year 2011-2012. reading this forum people got letters before this point asking for information, these seem to have missed me but then I have moved in the last 5 months.

So a demand for £14k to be paid for by 21st February. So help please.... Bedouin touted the scheme as HMRC compliant. I even confirmed this with them and checked again several times. Obviously this is my Tax bill but as Bedouin don't allow expenses a lot of this would have been expenses (8k a year for Rail ticket, food as each day was 12+ hours, 1 week every 5 was working from home covering nights ) can anyone advise me what I should do. I am already going to contact HMRC and request an extension and copies of any previous correspondence. Is it worth me contacting Bedouin? as they must shoulder some of this blame.
