We were looking at a fabric sofa but the idea of a leather one isn't now ruled out - having never owned one before can any of the congregation comment on leather sofas longevity, resilience , maintenance etc

The other concern I have is I have always associated leather sofas with being a bit... chavtastic
Yes, I also think corner units are a bit chavvy too.

Dunno. I think I prefer fabric, but leather definitely more practical in terms of wiping up spillages etc.

-1 for corner units - always think they look a bit 'office waiting area'.

With the NorPusses fabric was never an option if we wanted the sofa to survive longer than a month, we did manage to get a nice retro set in cloggers, it was a bit more grown up than the ones we've had previously.

got a leather sofa about 13/14 years ago.

I worn a nice ass groove in it and it is v comfy.

Have 2 kids so wipe clean is a must

2 cats have left it alone mainly - and to be honest it is tired and needs repalcing but I am gonna keep it until it falls apart cos by then the kids will be old enough not to spill crap everywhere

I may then go for another leather one mind you!

Atw is banned. Presumable so he does not get distracted. I did email him a few weeks ago and all is well with him.
