Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

Very sad. Most famous person ever to come from Droitwich. Much more famous than me.

              A young one in life,
and, at 56, a young one to death.

By far the funniest of that generation of comics.

Used to love him as Alan B'stard.

Never seemed ad self righteous and PC as the others (Fry, French,Elton et al) in fact I seem to recall he was quite anti-EU.

                Thanks for the laughs.

                  56 is far too young.

I liked some of his stuff, others not so much, but he was undeniably damn funny. What a shame

Staple of growing up was the Young Ones.
