All I had was this going through my head during the fight scene

You kind of just knew something would happen after all the Mountain is an absolute monster, in some ways it was like the typical movie scenario when you think the bad guy is dead and then BOOM! he gets up or grabs your leg. I'm with you on this one when they're down make absolutely sure they're dead or beyond a comeback.

I felt the fight scene was a little rushed and a little one sided (most of the way through). Oberyn was good fighter but so was the Mountain. In the book the fight scene is far more balanced as their different styles clash (Oberyn is fast and cunning whereas the Mountain is powerful and heavily armoured).

I spent the entire scene hoping that they would change it somehow as I liked Oberyn but realistically I knew they could not :-(

However, the scene has inspired me to a buy a dragon tongue glaive and try Oberyn's fighting style out ... although I hope that the end result will be different.

His style reminded me quite a bit of Darth Maul with the double lightsaber, very Wushu influenced.

Now you mention it, yeah I agree. I almost fought Ray Park (Darth Maul) at a tournament in London. He was due to come down but his insurance company had fit when they heard about it so at the last minute he had to pull out
