well we have your opinion why does anyone else need one? I notice those that disagree with you are not grown ups and the general perception is its racist hence the Zola Budd reference (she is a white south African).

As its about personal achievement supporting national identity then its a reasonable question.

If a British Firm hires a designer its a British Firm's achievement.

If a 'Naturalised Brit' wins a Gold is it a British achievement?

I really don't understand why you find this birthplace issue so important. You're free to do so, but personally I couldn't give a stuff where somebody achieved the great feat of plopping out of his mother's womb.

And I repeat, Mo Farah is British by descent anyway, through his father.

I'm not free to do so because that isn't 'grown up'.

that would be "Mukhtar Farah, is an IT consultant and a British citizen". So one assumes he was a recent import or maybe he is from that old family the Berkshire 'Farahs? Not sure why you are so hung up about what pieces of paper a person obtains?

I just think its odd the British claim credit for Mo Farah's achievements when we spend so much time throwing out other people. It sort of feels like cheating.

Or to use a real example, are the the MacBook Pro, iMac, MacBook Air, iPod, iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad, iPad Mini all British achievements ?
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

I claim no credit for Mo Farah's achievements, just as I have no issues with him competing for the British team. Athletics is a bit like that; the guy goes out and runs without the help of an extra leg from me, and without the help of people trying to blow him over the finish line. It's an individual sport where a whole team of people ranging from the guy who cleans the bogs at the athletics club (probably the members themselves) to the coach and the physio is involved in preparing the individual to compete. As for the Berkshire Farahs, so what if they are 'recent imports'? So what? WHY is that an issue for you?

              Ok, I'll reword.

I dare say he will be a Somalia again when they find evidence of his drug taking.

But surely you're the one with the evidence if you can make such bold claims?

Ah, so unless you have a 'good old-fashioned English name' you're not British?

You reworded it and still managed to completely miss his point. I've highlighted the important word that you might want to reconsider.
