The Google Doodle for the UK is St.George (for Germany its Max Planck's 156th birthday!) Interestingly enough, the patron saint of Germany is St.Boniface who is English (well from Wessex to be precise.)“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”Comment
