How does that work with pharma - what legislation is this of which you speak?
I know of none. You can start a pharma company today if you like.
    Hard Brexit now!

Still waiting for you to explain why you can't start a pharma.
In actual fact Britain has a thriving small biotech industry - it's one of our strengths - from penicillin to test-tube babies to Dolly clones to unravelling DNA etc etc , we lead the world.

Are you suggesting that it's basically free to build a car factory or develop a new drug or microprocessor and the only thing stopping you is "legislation"? What utter cobblers.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Similarly you could start a car manufacturing plant up if you wanted.
Hell, HMG would probably even help you with a grant to do it.

The only one on your list which is a closed shop is banking - and that's nothing to do with the EU.
In any case technology is already subverting the banking model so its irrelevant

Does that include actually selling any (previously approved) pharma?

I bet it would be years and years before one could start selling even pristine pure aspirins.

If its off-patent yes you can make and sell it.
You can open an aspirin shop tomorrow if you wanted.
Haven't you been to your corner shop recently? They sell aspirin.

Banking, Insurance, pensions, vehicle manufacturing, chemical manufacturing. Pharmaceuticals The list is endless.

We are left with what ? software development , setting up a recruitment business (the only worthwhile ethical business left), selling the big issue
There is actually nothing to stop a sufficiently wealthy man in the street from doing any of those things but the fact is most "men in the street" can't do these things, or open restaurants or cafes, or open a retail store that holds stock, because of the level of investment required to do it properly. It's because most people are just too poor, which has nothing to do with legislation.
