Wrong.Originally posted by petergriffin View PostFor the pedants, I've actually been to school, you can say 'less' before plural names if it means a whole category. "The Moroccans" in this case is a collective noun, hence you can use "less".

There is indeed a crime problem in NL among young people of Moroccan descent and that needs to be tackled somehow, and it needs to be discussed, if only because there are actually politicians of Moroccan descent trying their best to deal with this and there are other people being held back by their peer group. But what Wilders did was not talk about criminals or criminals of Moroccan descent; he called for 'less Moroccans' in a country which has experience of people calling for less of a certain population group. He didn't call for less immigration from Morocco, he called for 'less Moroccans'. He overstepped a mark that many people in this country (NL) find important and whipped up a crowd to chant to have less of that population group in the country, and then said 'we'll arrange it'. That sent cold shivers up the backs of not just foreigners, but millions of people in NL. There's a big difference in talking about 'Moroccan criminals' and 'Moroccans' in general, and I think you're smart enough to know that. He showed in doing this that he actually has no respect at all for Dutch values or history, and it appears he's lost a lot of support thanks to this.Originally posted by xoggoth View PostIf the crime figures quoted in some sources are anything like true, can't say I blame him:

The link of young male migrants to Europe from some areas and crime is not a right wing myth. Some like to argue about reasons but one could reasonably ask, why should it be our problem in the first place? If those from particular nations have not succeeded in the past for whatever reason we should raise the bar to ensure those we take in in future do succeed.
It is tackling problems honestly with policies based impartially on facts that lowers real racism. Constantly dismissing valid concerns only raises resentment and makes more people support those like Wilders.
I agree entirely with your last sentence, but that's precisely what Wilders wasn't saying yesterday. And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014Comment

Yup, this country will become Islamic state in less than 50 years anyways, so who cares.Originally posted by Flashman View PostMore Moroccans? Less ? Couldn't give a **** either way to be honest.
If UKIP are the answer, then it must have been a very stupid question.Comment

Another 'mark' which clearly does not apply to Polish people. But since Netherlands will turn into Islamic state in less than 50 years, who cares.Originally posted by Mich the Tester View PostHe overstepped a mark that many people in this country (NL) find important and whipped up a crowd to chant to have less of that population group in the country, and then said 'we'll arrange it'.If UKIP are the answer, then it must have been a very stupid question.Comment

Bollux. Go and study demography for the next 4 years, read up on the Dutch constitution and look into Dutch political history and then I won't need to explain why.Originally posted by mos View PostNetherlands will turn into Islamic state in less than 50 years, who cares. And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Actually, if you've read any of his posts you'll realise that you'll probably still need to explain it.Originally posted by Mich the Tester View PostBollux.
