I watched a program many years ago which listed some of the projects the Ministry of Technology was engaged In when he headed it up, complete nonsense mostly and giant money pits.
I am sure he was a lovely man to talk to about begonias but his political ideas were complete fruitloopery.Comment

Didn't agree with his politics but a decent man of principle.
It was also his tenacity that saw the whole Concorde project come to fruition.Comment
