He didn't say that this is ending in a world war, he said that
I've said repeatedly that EU / NATO expansionism is the root cause of the current crisis. So far you've blamed the Queen, the CIA and Bankers. It appears that now you are agreeing with me on that point at least. Another couple of weeks and we might be able to get you out from under the stairs and sleeping in your own bed again.
President Yanukovich's government won a free and fair election with 48% of the vote.
Tony Blair's 2005 election - won with 35.2%, majority of seats achieved due to undemocratic/unbalanced constituency borders.
David Cameron achieved 35.1% in 2010, and no majority of seats.

"Russia will not accept the language of sanctions and threats" and will retaliate if sanctions are imposed, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement about agreements reached at an emergency EU summit on Thursday.
By the book. It remains to be seen what retalliations means in this context. And in the wider focus, what "Asymmetric" means.
I note the EU were quite standoffish about their part in the reprisals, and unsurprisingly considering this in on their doorstep.
This looks like US and Russia falling out big time.
