I need some vicarious fun , this will be the first year for nearly two decades that I havnt been on a grand adventure , and its making me glum

Just done Phoenix, Tucson and Tombstone. Great landscapes and good fun, I'd recommend it as an EO trip.

Portugal in May. Nothing else planned yet, but possibly Disneyland later in the year.

We've got a long (hopefully dirty) weekend in Berlin, a week in Snowdonia, and an invite for a week in Normandy with family.

So nowhere warm yet. We'll have to start looking.
