    My contracts always specify the rate and currency of payment. I've never seen one that didn't mention the currency.

      Your contract will say £ which is pounds sterling, IF Scotland had there own pound it will be S£ or something similar, so your contract is in pounds no matter what Scotland does.

      But anyway it's a moot point unless your contract is in excess of two years as the first renewal after the currency change is where the issues will need to be discussed
