How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

Ever government tells us this is what's happening, but it's a complicated and understandably slow process. So far they've been focusing on the "paying more" bit; once they've got that cracked they're going to get onto the "better NHS" bit.

It's not your tax, it's the government's. I think transparency so you can see exactly where tax is spent is a great idea, but I really hate the phrase "taxpayer's money".

Is there a reason why you wouldn't want to contribute to a better NHS?

Instead of paying more tax, why not just subsidise anyone over 60 who wants to indulge in designated extreme sports (ladies...ironing doesn't count)
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

I don't hate helping other people, however I also don't believe I should have to contribute to another person's pension especially if it is a public sector one.
