I still think China will start an oil war, after all there are disputed oil rich islands nearby with poorly defended neighbours and an overstretched US
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

I doubt it. They are talking about setting up futures contracts priced in Yaun, they are unlikely to spook investors by attacking the neighbors, or upset their largest export market, and a war would cause a spike in the oil price which isn't exactly desirable for the worlds largest oil importer either.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

They (China) have dumped rather a very lot of US treasury bonds recently.
Knock first as I might be balancing my chakras.

Because they have an impending fiscal crisis of their own maybe?

              we need not worry

the people who own all the money in the world and therefore run it have the following challenges

              1) A global war is of no benefit - localised conflicts are - therefore we will stay with localised conflicts
              2) The masses need to earn just enough to keep their heads above water and therefore continue to be wage slaves to make sure the top people earn loads - this will continue - the only real hassle we see is a recession (like where we are now)
              3) There will always be unrest against totalitarian govenrments - but totalitarian governments only ever arise from chaos and so can never become a threat to anything except their own populace.

so just relax, take the pills n carry on!

I take it you don't buy into the population reduction crap, at least not on a broad scale?

Not sure what you mean but are you saying there is some sort of subversive, underhand way of keeping the worlds population in hand by culling a million or two every now and then?
