          Personally I think next major war will start in the 2020's. China and Russia will be ready then. The Europeans will still be arguing amongst themselves and the Yanks will have gone bankrupt and/or slashed their defence spending.

                    Don't be silly. This will be a civil war at most. No one in their right mind is going to escalate an internal conflict to that extent.

                      The Americans won't slash their defence budget, it would be economic suicide as that investment provides the cornerstone of their hi tech economy and the trickle down effects far outweigh the costs.
