Surely if they hate the English as much as they claim they'd want to vote No just to be annoying
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

And no capital reserves or credit history to access the money market!

There is a reason porkie wants a currency union and it's not a soft spot for the english.

With no debt why is access to the money market required?

Hopefully the will have an understanding of economics that is better than you two.

If you really think that using the GBP while not being in currency union will mean things are all bright and rosy, then you've missed a few points.

They'll sell oil for their own currency thereby creating demand for it - EUR and USD only ...

They won't use GBP - they already print their own "pounds", so infrastructure for their own currency is already in place - just need to make them look at bit less cheap then they are now ...

UK keeps its AAA rating; Scotland has to start from ZZZ (or whatever it is) with all the credit worthiness of Zimbabwe (which I think is currently using 6 currencies, none of them their own).
