Politician shows signs of amnesia
“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.” -

A few simple lessons to be learned.
1. Every so often it absolutely pisses it down in some bits of the UK sometimes for weeks on end, this is quite normal weather for the UK and it's a reason the country is pretty much green.
2. For decades and increasingly so in the last 2 we've been building thousands of houses on areas known to be flood plains (small hint here, the name is applied to bits of land that flood regularly).
3. For centuries we've been draining marshy ground, filling in ponds, constraining rivers and paving over land that all used to act as a sink for extra water.
If you feck about with how the landscape deals with water and build where it tends to gather in GBFO amounts when it rains like a bastard then you get flooded houses. Not really rocket science to be fair.Comment
