In the weeks leading up to this referendum one of the interesting points that came out was that the Swiss think Germans are benefit tourists to Switzerland and as there is not much love lost between the two, this actually had an effect on the vote...

There is also a great difference between urban Swiss voters and rural voters' opinions.

I have another 4 years on my visa, things may have changed by then.

I thought it would apply to new people trying to come to Switzerland, mainly new EU countries.

But the people who voted for it the most, was the Italian speaking area of Switzerland. That was a suprise to me, they are saying too many Italians are arriving.
