    are they not providing liquids to drink on the plane?
    No. They are going to dehydrate all passengers before transit. Apparently, it is cheaper to carry people in powder form, because they are lighter. They will then be rehydrated into human form at the end of the flight, if they have behaved themselves.

      And the powder has been checked not to be explosives or drugs.
