Slight sniffle but not as bad as SY02 or SY06 who are really suffering.

I feel slightly depressed that my gig has folded up, and neither clientco nor the agency have the common decency to call me back and end it properly. Then again, the way others treat you is often more of a reflection on them, than on you.

Ankle is strangely much better. SY02 and I did have a lurg recently where just your ankles and calves ached. Really bizarre. Then if shifted up and made your arms and back ache, and made you a bit "lungy". I blame immigration and air travel for the increased weird bugs. I mean it's not like you can just get a cold nowadays, it's always swine flu this, or swine flu that, isn't it?

Right knee ligament (previous damage from cycling) was twinging a bit as it was quite cold when I took the kids to school this morning (SY02 is up on blocks with this cold, see so I got to do it).

Lower back still aching from digging the allotment at the weekend. Probably doesn't help me sitting in my "Suitys corner" of the sofa in the kitchen, slouched over a laptop coding and posting on here.

    Thanks for asking old son.

I'm OK thanks - past the winter child lurgies for now.

Bugs from kids are weird. Before I had kids I thought you could get:

      1. Cold
      2. Flu
      3. Tonsillitis
      4. Stomach upset

And then suddenly, you have kids and there are all sorts of things. This year has included a 6 hour nausea bug, and a 24 hour feeling of extreme ennui and tiredness. WTF is that about?

      Still, mustn't grumble, eh, suity?

I meant of course above the baseline level. YG2 is still not sleeping through the night. 5 and a half years of broken sleep

Well that's right old son, can't really grumble. Kids bring home the weirdest bugs that knock them over for a few hours and leave the grown ups absolutely poleaxed.

Still, the nights are getting longer and spring is here in 6 weeks. D'ya fancy a cuppa? I've got garibaldis.

Different here. The kids are poleaxed and the adults fight through impressively.

Cuppa sounds good, but will pass on the garibaldis. On that topic, did you know you can buy gluten free pink wafers. Who the **** can't eat gluten but pines for pink wafers?

Wear long johns or a tubular bandage in cold weather to keep your knee ligament warm and MTFU.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

You should be able to fight impressively though the psychosomatics of coeliac disease, Shirley? If you're going to make a habit of this I will Shirley get some in for you. Decaf teabags as well, or are you more a peppermint tea sort of chap?

You see, that's how it starts, a tubular bandage here, nut bra there.

Before you know it you're a train wreck, with ingrowing toenails, baggy balls and a woggly eye.

It's actually YG1. She was diagnosed at four and is now five, and she's managing pretty well. I will pass your suggestion onto her paediatrician and feed back to you.
