      +1 sort of
To some women power is an attraction in itself, but would we be asking the same " what's x doing with y " where one party is more "attractive" than the other if celebrity / public figures weren't involved ?

Would I date someone poor/unknown/unattractive to others ? - yes, if they were " right" for me.

Does the fact that I might meet all the above criteria myself make that more acceptable than if I was drop dead gorgeous famous bird ?......

I think it's a sad reflection on our cosmetic and commercial society that attraction is gauged by looks and possessions.

So basically the lesson here is to blag being wealthy and cop off with more birds

Actually I know at least one person who does this, leases an expensive car to give the impression to being loaded. And another bought an old Merc 500SL and put private plates on to hide its age.

        Next time I'm single, I'm getting a 500SL too

I think that's got more to do with biology than society. The fact that too many in society can't control their primal urges is perhaps a little sad.

So what was it about the millionaire president that first caught her eye ?
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

I do remember someone trying to chat me up in a bar in the city, the line he used was "I drive a porsche", I told him to come back when he had a decent car and not a beetle...

              Isn't a 500SL wot hairdressers drive??

That fanny mechanic Lord Winston did a good sketch about it on TV. Got a bunch of women (who didn't know him) to rate him in two scenarios. When he had a Bentley and a saville row suit they thought he was sexy. Trackies and an old banger .... thumbs down.

I think it is a reflection of human nature. If anything society reflects that attraction is gauged by looks, wealth and power rather than vice versa. It was ever thus.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Sure, but that's not as mercenary it sounds.

Which would you rate better? Does that make you shallow?
