To some women power is an attraction in itself, but would we be asking the same " what's x doing with y " where one party is more "attractive" than the other if celebrity / public figures weren't involved ?


Would I date someone poor/unknown/unattractive to others ? - yes, if they were " right" for me.

Does the fact that I might meet all the above criteria myself make that more acceptable than if I was drop dead gorgeous famous bird ?......

Actually I know at least one person who does this, leases an expensive car to give the impression to being loaded. And another bought an old Merc 500SL and put private plates on to hide its age.

I think it is a reflection of human nature. If anything society reflects that attraction is gauged by looks, wealth and power rather than vice versa. It was ever thus.
