Can't you just deem yourself to be dead for tax purposes, after all HMRC like deeming

That would contractually invalidate my RoS.

So I thought we could make a little list for him of the typical contractor's costs. Not all of these pertain to myself, but I'm sure we could make this entertaining with a little imagination, then I can send him a breakdown of the costs that a typical contractor runs up in a month.

            - restaurants
            - fuel for 4 and 5 litre contractormobiles
            - occasional training courses
            - adult toys to keep the Mrs busy while working away
            - selection of fine wines
            - porn subscriptions
            - gimp suits
            - cocaine
            - ho's
            - Cuban cigars
            - exotic holidays
            - swinger club membership fees

Please add your suggestions so he can get a full picture of how expensive the contracting life really is and why we need good rates.
Likewise I am going to start asking Tesco how they justify 4000% mark ups on their cabbages.

You know thats similar to what I thought when I read the first page....

does permie muppet question why every other supplier they have charges what they do and why?

No because he/she cannot seem to understand that the contractors are companies who are there to make money - he sees people and thinks 'employees'

You contractors don't help yourselves do you? With your 'outsider' mentality. Once you cross over its quite comfy you know.

Indeed, and the best justification they can give is this; 'that's the price we want for them and that's the price we've discovered people will pay'. That's also all the 'transparency' anyone needs about my rate.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014
