I think most of us would rather trust this persons view than any of the gravy train lot who are paid to investigate the "problem" (what would they do if there wasn't one?) , speak at conferences and tut tut at everyone else's behaviour.

It is not just the money but the political capital. Climate Change is the new cause of socialism. The concept of the state redistributing our wealth for "the common good" has been exposed as a con trick. Making us feel guilty about being individuals is now being applied by the climate change zealots.
What next once science provides the solution?

Ah, so we are to take it that the 'indisputable' assertion about two new airports and billion-dollar hotels on Tiny Tuvalu was pure bollux then?

The impacts of sea level rise are not instantaneous, they are felt over decades, easily long enough for governments and developers, not exactly noted for putting long term sustainability over short term profit, to get a return on investment in infrastructure to increase tourism, the major industry in the Maldives. They are, in all probability, going to need the money.

What do you think of the recession Dodgy ?

I would ask the same question of the CAGW zealots. is it a good thing ? would you like to see the economy shrink and keep shrinking ?

there are a lot of people who think that is a good idea

I think as a human race our future is in science. This planet will not last forever even if the CC zealots get their way and consign us all to a puritanical "caveman existence". In years to come we will be able to live to 1000 years and do things like colonise space. The money is in the right place and it is the money makers that will be driving science not governments and not "flat earth" scientists and religious and climate change zealots.

Most important of all IT contractors will be able to live out their star trek fantasies and I will be in the second hand spaceship market making my honest buck

They don't have a lot to worry about.
Is that why they're building all these airports and hotels?

She made the London to Keswick run in under 12 party kegs! She may not look like much but she's got it where it counts, Dodgy!
