Hi doodab I don't know what I can say other than the very best of luck with it.

All my charitable donations go to cancer charities now and I'm not ashamed to say in a rather self-interested way as I suspect it's the thing most likely to do for me (30 years of smoking). Plus I have one very good friend going through treatment at the moment.

So, most sincerely, I wish you all the best.

I'm actually off to see Macmillan before I go home for some tips on how to break the news to my son. My missus lost both parents to cancer so she is a big help, hard as it is for her.

I am a stubborn little tulip and I will fight as hard and long as I can of course.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Yep, do that, and sorry if it's very clichéd, but make sure you get all the fun you can from every day now. You can waste your life worrying about unimportant tulip, or you can just get on and enjoy it and it might last longer than you think.

I think every day from this point on is a bonus.

It's amazing how much less I care about stuff now. I wonder what to do with it all. I think I might declutter a bit when I get home.
