Last year I sat in a packed pub in Liverpool watching Mo Farah win the 5000 metres. I had never in my life seen an entire pub full of people cheering for an athletics event, and I had never before seen hundreds of British people cheering a muslim Somali immigrant on at the top of their voices. It was inspiring; that man is very highly regarded in Britain, and deservedly so.
