spot on - darkness is the absence of light. Light is not the absence of darkness. Just like evil is the lack of good rather than the opposite of good (religious arguments for morality and why there is evil in the world).

Evil is a human construct, it doesn't exist outside of human consciousness. Do you think Lions feeling guilty about eating a baby antelope?

        you mean -273.1?

at that point all particle motion ceases thus no heat...

but either way shut the fookin window it's cold

An impressive display of how the absence of knowing quickly leads to a retort bereft of topic concerning the original post.

Not unlike the time you proposed 100% efficient harvesting of waste heat as the solution to the worlds energy problems then.

I presume you've read a book about thermodynamics since then.

For goodness sake, where were you people educated?

Visible light of the EM spectrum, a small part of it at that, is only equivalent to the frequency of the emitted energy.

I think it's the other way around. There are limits to human intelligence, but there appear to be no limits to human stupidity. So I propose that Intelligence actually a lack of stupidity.

I wonder how we should interpret Carnot's theorem?
