Inescapable logic, sounds like the solution to implement.Originally posted by Bacchus View PostI think I'm beginning to see the problem here...
My advice would have to be to leave Mudskipper Junior in Brum and go and have fun

Jeez, Eurostar's expensive!
Cheapest looks like Hamburg at < £100 each for flights.
Will research it, but Hamburg looking promising.Comment

There's dozens of Christmas markets all over Munich, all offering something different. There's one in Odeon platz with the talking deer, which is entertaining for the little ones. Best come over early December, by the 23/24th and people are packing up.
These pictures I took last December at the Chinesischen Turm in the English garden, a 5 minute walk from my place. Not at all touristy at that time of year and many traditional offerings to be had.

It's ok, not like the one in Cologne. I'd also visit some small towns around in the NRW area.Originally posted by mudskipper View PostYep - she lives in Brum - would certainly be cheaper, but perhaps not quite so atmospheric!<Insert idea here> will never be adopted because the politicians are in the pockets of the banks!Comment

Swaying back to original plan of Hannover/Hamlen - flights are dearer, but hotels cheaper, so balances out. Hamlen is very pretty.Comment

You should try airbnb.com instead of a hotel. Cheaper for sure and usually a lot more friendly than a corporate hotel feel.Originally posted by mudskipper View PostSwaying back to original plan of Hannover/Hamlen - flights are dearer, but hotels cheaper, so balances out. Hamlen is very pretty.
PS: if you're looking for dirt cheap flights, and you can stomach ryanair or the like fly to Memmingen Airport, it's about 1 hour to the west of of Munich.Last edited by scooterscot; 26 October 2013, 21:09."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience".
