Actually - the person on the thread who said about Lewisham and Catford wasn't too far off the mark.

I have just bought a new house in Hither Green - 1 mile from Blackheath village, over looking a park, 4 bedrooms (2 doubles, 2 singles) etc. quite big garden - for about 400 grand.

Also - Lee is good value at the moment. Both areas are very near Blackheath, very family oriented (very good schools etc.) - and both walking distance to Blackheath village.
