Although I normally despise penny pinching, I must admit one gets quite a buzz over half-price pizzas or legs of lamb etc in a supermarket.

Some of the deals in Sainsury's are amazing, if one can barge past all the greedy gannets round the reduced shelves before they've snaffled all the items!

I guessed £15 for a loaf of bread and my butler just stared at me with raised eyebrows.

My butler told me it was £15 a loaf, which of course I just paid.

Has he been pocketing the change?

Nah, the sausage is the right shape and it included fried tomato. Scottish breakfasts don't have salad on them.

Tesco value bread = disgusting taste.

According to the BBC, it costs 42p for the ingredients to make a loaf similar to the Tesco one and it's 5p cheaper too but tastes a lot better (not surprisingly.)
