I'm staying in an old priory that's used by a varied collection of catholic priests, welders, police dog trainers and pilgrims. 40 euros per night plus 10 euros for a three course meal in the evening, very clean and comfortable; can't complain really.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

Have you seen the old motor home in The Ship carpark? It's usually in there about 8am when I cycle past, but it's gone on the way home. Always in the same spot, with a view from the windscreen over the bay. it's been there a few weeks now, but not seen it at weekends.

I cycle past at 8 too. I'll have a look tomorrow. The pub probably lets him pitch up there on the understanding that he uses them for his evening meals etc.

Do you come along Hayling Billy?

Surely he's told old to be of interest to priests

Yes, but I've shared glasses of wine with one of them a few times; fascinating chap, very down to earth, who was a priest in the army for a while and witnessed the war in Yugoslavia first hand, and shortly afterwards found himself working in Rwanda with orphans of the genocide. He doesn't rattle on about religion, says the vatican has always been too obsessed with telling adults what they should or shouldn't do in bed with each other and sees his 'calling' as simply trying to get people to be a bit nicer to each other. He's giving courses in conflict resolution nearby at the moment.

No, I don't use Billy. I'm just off the main road, right at the top of the Island.

I worked with a contractor who had a VW Campervan and parked on site, until security caught him crossing the carpark in his dressing gown, going for a shower. They asked him not to do that again, so he got dressed first, but they allowed hime to stay on site though.

                  Hmm...

When I had my Havant gig earlier this year, client paid for me to stay here The Langstone Hotel

Many caravan sites jack it in for the winter, due to lack of demand. But presumably you've checked that.

The snag with being based on Hayling Island, if you're working on the "mainland" is that causeway in the rush hour.

You see that a lot here but it tends to be middle aged women who charge you €50 to stick your old man in a bucket of fish heads.
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.
