The trouble is they are right. £60k is not a lot of money if you have a family.

£150k is not a lot of money when all taxes and unavoidable costs are paid.

The problem with taxing the very rich - is that there are not many of them.

Indeed they are also very mobile, being taxed in the UK is optional for them. Their tax experts are much better than ours.

Unfortunately having undercut our local labour force by importing cheap labour force to please multinationals and build votes resulting in rampant inflation then £60k is not a lot of money.
