Suited gents who have their designated seats. Don’t even think of saying good morning to them.

Hoy ploy of commuter, everyone wants to get on the train no matter how tightly packed. Load of laptops open up but usually to play DVDs. Someone fat will always try and occupy half your seat and the man opposite will pick is nose and cough all over you.
    08:00-to 09:00
It consultants and alike casually dressed not bother about what time they arrive at the office.

09;00 onwards, the time you think it’s good to travel except no matter where you sit a mum with unruly kids will site nearby.

Going home, always packed, kinds on holiday, newly arrived into the county with half their house packed into half a dozen enormous cases. The smell of fatty MacDonald’s burgers eaten by office workers using their mobile phones to say “I having my dinner on the train” The alcoholic that has fumes wafting from him and the statuary beggar collecting money for his alleged hostel, ticket home, dog etc.
    And that's in first class!

I'll make the money by selling one of my livers. I can get by with one.

I prefer organic, free-range commuters myself.

          Zeitghost, what's your view?

Tastes like Lo-Salt though. Prefer mine with natural sea salt (freshly drowned).

I refuse to commute into the city. Currently enjoying a gig about 20 mins drive from home

I'm not keen on the ones who ate a Chinese takeaway the night before. Too much MSG wreaks havoc on my blood pressure.

Funnily enough, given the bizarrely complex pricing structures used by the RailCos, it is far from unknown when booking in advance for 1st class tickets to be cheaper than the standard class fare. I have personally experienced this on London - Cardiff and London - Birmingham trips. A good time to book is just before peak time on Fridays, say in the 15:00 - 15:45 slot, because as well as the large comfy seat and service to your table, you get free wine, snacks, newspapers, etc plus the satisfaction of knowing you paid less than the oiks crammed into standard class on their walk up fares and season tickets.
