Why would you check the date on a headline news story? Do you check the date on newspapers in the shop to check they're not from last year?

It's not a headline story. It's one of the most shared stories on the BBC News website.

If it were a headline story, ie one linked to from any of the sections on the front page of the news website, then I would assume that it's current. Since it's not, it's something that people are sharing, then I'd be inclined to automatically check whether it is a story from within the same decade or not.

Yes, commonly in North Wales.
