    Glasses Direct

I've just bought two pairs for less than £50 and I'm delighted with them. I've used spex4less and goggles4u in the past but Glasses Direct quality and speed of delivery is just that bit better.

You can get 30% off frames as well if you mention my name when you get to the checkout - (Not because I am involved in any way or important, just a marketing ploy by them) PM me if you are interested.....
I'd give my right dick to be normal.....

WHS. I have very dry eyes apparently, which makes it very difficult for me to wear lenses all the time, annoyingly.

I'm going to opt for buying glasses online this time around.

Not even sure they'd be allowed to sell prescription lenses online unless you sent them a copy of your eye test.

Edit: Apparently I'm talking Bollox again.
That's what I did, I spotted a nice RL Polo frame in my local independent (but expensive) opticians and took the frame number, bought it for half the price and got the optician to 'glaze' them.

When I scratched the lenses I took the same frame into specsavers and had them re-glazed for £99 and got a pair of prescription sunglasses for an extra £60. Specsavers then gave me a 50% off voucher for any pair of glasses (including lens options) so I 'specced' up another pair with thin reactions lenses for just going out and about, only £70!

I use daily disposable contacts whenever I fancy so a box of 30 lasts me all year.

I'm after some quality Italian frames that I can't find at Specsavers, Boots, Vision Express. They have them expensive but not really good quality.

I've found a couple of online retailets but they don't answer emails, phone rings free for ages, the whole thing looks a bit dodgy.

          Thanks

I do likewise. It means when I go out I can read a menu (or more importantly the big number at the bottom of the bill), without the risk of losing my specs.

Ditto. Mind you, last time I had a few drinks I forgot I had decided not to wear my contacts.

Spent a very uncomfortable 10 mins in my bathroom, wobbling around and trying to extract my eyeball from my head before remembering.

I don't like wearing them at all, never have.

I try to get away with not wearing them, but it doesn't work.

I was driving a friend somewhere recently; she had to bellow at me to stop because of someone about to cross at a crossing. Afterwards, I laughed and said I couldn't believe I'd nearly run that old man over.

'It was a WOMAN' comes the response. Meh.

The ones I have are beautiful. I still don't like them [on me].
