One of the contractors working here at the moment got a bit of a raw deal from Prosperity 4 (nothing unusual there then) and got a bit miffed about it. What followed was a rather cross email to the IR. Reply came back today and I thought it may be of interest to the panel:

I would say that the activities and claims of Prosperity 4 are being looked at by a specialist unit tasked to investigate umbrella and composite companies. Unfortunately such matters can be an extremely long process depending on the level of assistance provided to the Revenue regarding the availability of records and the size of the task involved.
I would say that hopefully new legislation which is intended to be introduced in the future may reduce the claims and activities of this company.
I regret that I cannot provide you with any specific information as all matters such as these are confidential.
