Living in the wrong country

    Yeah, my in-laws have a ranch/farm set-up in Texas. Fruit, Pecan Nuts & Lavender are all grown and sold locally.

    The best bit is the planning laws (or lack of) outside of city limits. They fancied a newer house overlooking the lake, so picked the site, drove a bulldozer down the road, turned right into the tree-line and kept going 'till they got to the lake.

    "That's the drive sorted."

    Three months later they're sitting on the porch overlooking the lake with G&T's in hand.

    Can't do that here .....
