    WHS.

Everyone looks like on that soul destroying journey. £800 a month you could be paying on a London property that will increase in value as the govt encourages more non dom types to buy London property tax free. You may as well get rich with them.

True. Reading is one of the dullest, crappiest towns close to London.
      Hard Brexit now!

And that train line into London has to be one of the most unreliable. Current clientco has its HQ in TVP and I dread going over on the train once a month - got stuck in Slough station for an hour due to signal failure a few weeks ago. Least you can get your money back if it's over an hour

I live in Zone 2 next to the river so my usual commute into Canary Wharf or the city is only around 20mins

I live in Chelmsford, my train into Liv street in 32 minutes and not a bad journey. trains run every 10-15 minutes. It's not a bad area. You can get a 4 bedroom detached with a decent garden and walking distance of the station for under £400k

Are you joking? I regularly used to complain about the plebs congregating in first class with only a standard ticket. The fast train in from Bath Spa is rammed with them. Same Problem on the way back, there are so many of these pesants hanging round the corridors that the buffet car cannot get through to serve me my evening drinks

seriously if you are wanting to come to the west then consider chippenham or Didcot Parkway, at least you will get a seat.

              WHS, almost.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'
