Any time you see a bit of bad news for Islam on the box they are at pains to get some apologist in at the end to reassure the public that they are not all like that, again let us not be coy, thousands of them are in jail on terror charges, thousands are being watched by the security services and tulip like female genital mutilation, forced marriage, polygamy, honour killings and acid attacks are going on all over the place by our Muslim friends.

There aren't thousands.

I suspect there will be more in prison for sex crimes particularly as quite a number of people change religion in prison to get better treatment.

I bet you there are more non-Muslims in jail on terror charges. If we go back some years surely then we should say that there was a problem with Catholics and Protestants as the majority of people in UK jails that were imprisoned on terrorism charges were Northern Irish. I think that you'll find that most of those Muslim people who are imprisoned have probably not been charged yet and when they do eventually get before a court, the charges tend to be either dropped or their is lack of evidence.

Westerners in Dubai are expats. Muslims in Britain/Europe are immigrants.

Westerners in Dubai have come legally. A large chunck of Muslims in Europe are "asylum seekers".

Westerners in Dubai are economically active in high-value professions. A very large chunk of Muslims in Europe are economically inactive and able to perform only menial jobs.

Westerners in Dubai can't break Sharia law without serious consecuences. Muslims in Europe don't give a damn about Western customs and laws. Many are outright criminals.

The problem in NI was political/territorial, not religious. The IRA, at least the provos, were rather Commies... I don't think the Pope of Rome was their main motivation to kill. Same for the UFF, UVF, etc.
