Lets see how impressed you are when the Bulgarians / Romanians start arriving
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

The country needs immigration (we dont have enough babies).
How about instead of mass immigration we spend more time shagging and producing offspring?

I know two local English guys who married Polish girls - more than 5 years ago actually, so its before current wave, they are all very happy with their wifes who I understand are delighted to cook, clean, look after kids and hubby. Can girls from Gles-ga do something like this? I thought so!

Many of the asylum seekers coming here have degrees and are well educated too.
What you seem to want is to restrict people who have cultures that are less compatible with culture of the indigenous population. Which i would agree with.
I dont really have a problem with the Poles, Latvians etc but in an overcrowded island (244+ people per km2) it will have consequences. The current wave of people coming here will inevitably result in more housing pressure, more pressure on the environment, more overcrowding, more traffic, competition for jobs etc etc. All those intanglible quality of life issues that are difficult to measure but which are much worse here than most other European countries.

I second that. This Polish immigration is great. The country needs immigration (we dont have enough babies). The Poles coming over are hard working, english speaking, young, and importantly with a very similar culture and appearance, therefore intergration is a sinch.

I think we really stole a march on the rest of Europe when we let them work here as soon as the country joined the EU. A good decision from Blair et al. Shocking I know.
              Good decision? No it wasn't.

It would only be a good decision if an equal number of ne'er-do-wells leave. Masses of extra people in the country put strain on traffic, public transport systems, the housing market, water supplies, power supplies. Or hadn't you noticed?

My mates wife is from a Polish family (although she is English born and bred). She does everything for him, cooking, cleaning, ironing etc. SHe will sort the kids out when he gets home from work then cook his dinner for him afterwards. When they go out to dinner she even chooses a meal for herself which she knows he will like just in case he doesn't like the one he has chosen so they can swap!!

He does feck all - lazy fecker!!

                Older and ...well, just older!!

Romanian women are much prettier than Polish ones. They also use horse drawn caravans to travel around which of course pollutes the environment less than car drivers. I understand that they are particularly good at Risk management as their women can see into the future

Excellent plan - don't worry about rounding up immigrants just round up all the lazy gets, the criminals, drug adicts, chavs, Labour politicians etc and ship them off somewhere else. Leaves us with all the good ones - sort the economy out in no time
