I recently got a contract via Computer People. As a general rule I treat EB’s with disdain. Can’t really complain too much about CP, got what I wanted with regards to rate & contract changes.Comment

Certain multinational British company who has some interests in Petrol-related products - although in that case they're allegedly keeping the contractors to the 6-month hancuff. so they're out of work when the renewal is due... nice people. Go fetch.Blog? What blog...?Comment

Agreed. However that is what is happening (allegedly) - they lost their PSL status for some reason and the client expected to be able to retain staff via another PSL company at renewal, but the man from CP he say No.
Messy, and unnecessary. Bit like CP, really, come to think of it!Blog? What blog...?Comment

DA vs CP
None of the above suggested to DA are using CP as SOLE AGENT which I think what he is after. RBS for one have a PSL list as long as your arm, so one more or one less makes no difference to them. One that uses CP as SOLE AGENT is the Scottish lady in the veil, however when CP replaced the previous agent, they did it by cutting rates by 10-15%, hence they have been struggling to recruit any decent candidates ever since. If anyone wants to compete with them and win over clients, they will have to cut the contractor rates AND their margins, something that only the 'big boys' can afford. DA knows the score.Comment

Never contracted through them but my limited experience of dealing with them leads me to wish you the very best of luck. they truly are a bunch of knobheads.
The best one (Of many) was a couple of months back when I got a phone call from some Brummie chick about a job up there and she seemed to take offence when I told her I was only looking for work in London, as my CV, jobsite posting, and brief conversation with on of her other feckwit colleagues had quite clearly stated. Her reply was that I couldn't afford to be too fussy in this sort of market at which I burst out laughing telling her I was averaging three calls a day (true). She didn't like that for some reason.
They are without doubt the most useless bunch of arseagents I've ever came across.Hang on - there is actually a place called Cheddar?? - cailin maith
