    I was put off cocktails, and partially still am, by the crap version pubs and bars often serve... put in some spirits and fill to the top with Coke so it's just a sweet fizzy mess.

          Found some now, but still put off some cocktails based on crap over-mixered versions. My favourite cocktails are mostly ones without much more than spirits in, like the Vesper.
