      Weber (£100)
      Fire Chminey (£10)
Lumpwood Charcoal or Small briquettes (large ones = less controlled heat) (£5 = 10Kg)
      Firelighters (£2)

The first two will last 10 years
The last two last 4-5 BBQ's / Braai's - in my house, 1-2 weeks at the most.

The EGG looks like a poncy toy (Giffen Good) and will go well with a Barbour Jacket, Hunter Wellies and some cucumber sandwiches with the crusts cut off
I was an IPSE Consultative Council Member, until the BoD abolished it. I am not an IPSE Member, since they have no longer have any relevance to me, as an IT Contractor. Read my lips...I recommend QDOS for ALL your Insurance requirements (Contact me for a referral code).

        Whateve floats yer boat.

though my weber was getting a tad knackered after 6 years.

And for a weber you're looking at at least a couple of hundred for a decent one

I have a hotspot grill (made from 5mm spun steel) its in its 5th or 6th year (cost me £150) It gets a light rust on it and all you do is give it a quick rub down and spray and its as good as new.

But I wanted a Pizza oven and a smoker so in the end my garden would have been a mess of kitchen toys instead of a place to sit in and look at flowers.

This poncy toy wont rust and does all three. So thats my next play money spent after my new car is ordered...

Seriously this place is supposed to be a place for contractors I have never seen so many tightwads.

It's the sort of thing you excitedly show your friends and family, they look at it, look at you, look at it, ask how much it was, look at it, look at you, look at it, ask again how much it was, look at it, look at you, ask what does it do, look at it, look at you, ask how much it was again and then say "that's erm, cool, yeah".

My family and friends know me better than to ask how much stuff costs round me

And a few hours to burn out and cool down so you can clean it. My one cools down in a few minutes, so I can check the forecast and prepare stuff in advance, then when the time comes I can fire it up, cook stuff, let it cool and put the cover back on in less than an hour. It's a lot more convenient and gets a lot more use, as in I had two BBQs last weekend, two the week before that and I'll have at least two or three more this weekend.
