Partial refund. But if they've been using income splitting, they have to pay full whack retrospectively.

Did you not read what I said? the basic principle is that it is between a man and a woman - this is agreed upon by all religions/faiths.

So who is marriage for? You say it's a holy institution, which suggests you think it's only for people that practice a religion. Yet marriages have been being performed in registry offices for a long long time and for people with no religious convictions whatsoever, not to mention whilst sky diving naked (I saw it on telly so it must be true).
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

Difficult for me to believe anything is a 'holy institution' if I don't believe in a god. I'd say it's a human construct that has been changing through the centuries and will continue to do so. Without a god telling us what to do, we have to muddle along.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

Roman Catholics don't believe marriage is for people who have previously been married.

You object to the idea that marriage is for everybody, so is marriage for people who have previously been married?

                    Marriage certainly predates Judaeo-Christianity.
