Precisely my point - personally I don't condone either, but my point is there is no moral compass or moral point of reference without some kind of religious framework.

For those who view marriage as a holy institution it makes just as much mockery to the institution to do that as it does to allow gays to marry.
Well, you have the religious part and the civil part. I say let gay people have the same civil rights as anyone else, but let religious movements decide for themselves whether they let gay people marry in religious ceremonies.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

You have to be careful with that argument or you end up going down a path where you don't allow people with inheritable diseases to have children.

You mean like with homosexuality? i.e. with regards to not being able to reproduce (2 males), spread of disease being much greater etc.

Should atheists be allowed to marry?

I have no religious framework, so how come I find the idea of adults marrying six year olds morally unacceptable?

So because lesbians are less prone to spreading disease that heterosexuals, are they better that heterosexuals?

And as far as reproduction is concerned, you're all for banning 80 year olds from getting married?

Why would you want to marry a six year old?

That was just my response to Mich's logic.
